| Volunteer/Internships Volunteering at PAWS can be one of the most rewarding experiences you'll ever have. As a PAWS Volunteer, you will be involved in a variety of areas and projects. You may also meet many others who love animals as much as you do. Of course, the most rewarding thing you'll gain is the satisfaction that comes from knowing that everything you do helps the animals! To request a volunteer packet, please contact Kim Gardner at kgardner@pawsweb.org. When you volunteer at PAWS, you set your love of animals in motion. Since we receive no state or federal funding, we rely on the hard work and ambition of partners and volunteers to keep PAWS going. If you live in the Northern California area, there are many ways you can help:
If you live outside of the Northern California area, you can get involved in protecting captive wildlife in your area by contacting public officials and the media when a traveling show with animals comes to your town. PAWS can provide information on the dangers of entertaining animals and public safety issues. Simply let us know what you'd like to do to help! E-mail us your name, address and phone number and we will provide you a schedule of upcoming events and send you a volunteer packet. All volunteers must attend an orientation. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are other ways to help. PAWS has need of the many items to support the animals. To see our Wish List, click here.
