Sanctuary Expansion

BULL MOUNTAIN

Nicholas’ 8,000-square-foot barn, located on a grassy hill above the Asian elephant habitat, is finished. PAWS would like to extend a BIG THANK YOU to Bob Barker for his generous donation for the completion of the barn.

The first phase of Nicholas’ new habitat at ARK 2000 has also been completed. Five thousand feet of fencing, fountain and a lake are all complete thanks to your generous donations. To view a video of Nicholas enjoying his new home,

A second barn on Bull Mountain has been completed. It was originally built for Ned, the sick, malnourished bull elephant seized last year by USDA.

Ned’s barn and the nearly-completed habitat now sit empty – ready and waiting for other bull elephants in peril. Construction is currently underway to completean extension of the bull habitat fencing.

Each linear foot of this heavy-duty fencing costs $168.
