AFRICAN ELEPHANTS ARE STAYING IN THE TREES DURING THE HEAT SPELL August 28, 2008 With temperatures climbing into high digits, our African group has headed up the hill and usually spends their days in the cover of the trees. This is a densely treed area that is not visible by the web cams. The elephants can be seen earlier in the morning at the mud hole before they head up the hill. We are activating another camera which will be functional within the next few weeks. Please bear with us as we expand our technology to match the size of our habitat. ![]()
