PAWS Directors, Pat Derby and Ed Stewart,
Join Bob Barker at Game Show Awards Celebration

Renowned game show host Bob Barker was presented with the “Legend Award,” at the GSN Game Show Awards on Saturday, May 16, 2009, in Hollywood. PAWS’ directors, Pat Derby and Ed Stewart, were special guests of Mr. Barker and attended the awards show with him. The event was taped, and will air on June 6, 2009, at 8 p.m. eastern time on the Game Show Network.

“It was an incredible experience,” Pat Derby exclaimed. “Howie Mandell was the host and he was extremely funny and entertaining. Every legendary game show host was in attendance, along with celebrities from many of today’s most popular shows. One of my favorite moments was watching Cloris Leachman reprise one of her dance numbers from Dancing with The Stars. She amazed all of us,” Derby goes on to say.

“I have never enjoyed an event more,” Derby continued. “And of course the highlight of the evening was being there to see Bob receive his award. As usual, he was spontaneously funny and the audience loved him. A video of Bob’s visits with the elephants at ARK 2000 was shown as he talked about his love of animals and his dedication to making a better world for all animals.”

“Bob Barker is truly a legend, and it was an honor to be with him as his colleagues and fans recognized his amazing talent,” Ed Stewart said after the event.
