Master Plan for Gallery and Gift Shop The second building, reminiscent of local barns, will serve two functions: as a permanent gift shop where This building will be decorated with photographs and maps of the early settlements with a particular emphasis on the history of the ARK 2000 land where ancestors of the local Native American Miwok tribe established a small community. Two mining communities were also located on the site: Red Bar and South Fork, and several individual homesteaders also inhabited the area leaving behind stone foundations, hundred year old olive and orange trees, rock retaining walls and mining artifacts. The third building, replicating an early outhouse, will contain modern restroom facilities.
